Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What are the costs involved in adopting a cat or kitten from Peninsula Cat rescue Inc.?

A. When adopting a cat or kitten from us the cost will be $135.00 for an older cat or $170.00 for a kitten. We do not charge GST.

Q. What is included in the cost?

A. All cats and kittens re-homed by us are fully vet checked, vaccinated, wormed, de-sexed and micro-chipped. On collection of your new family member we will advise you of their ongoing care, dietary requirements, ongoing vaccinations and council registration.

Q. Do you make any money out of the sale of cats and kittens?

A. As a rescue organisation all of our members operate on a voluntary basis. The proceeds from the sale of a cat or kitten goes towards our veterinary costs and helps us to purchase the day to day items we require to continue our work but still falls short of covering our costs.

Q. How do we purchase a cat or kitten through Peninsula Cat Rescue Inc.?

A. If you are interested in a cat or kitten appearing in our ‘Current Adoptions’ area of the site, please contact the fosterer whose name appears below that particular cat or kitten. We will arrange a time for you to come and meet them to ensure that they will fit your requirements, family unit and lifestyle. If you have a general kitten enquiry or are looking for a particular type of cat or kitten please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
