Cats and Kittens for adoption- December 2012

At PCR we have many kittens who will be up for adoption soon. As new regulations do not allow us to advertise our kittens without a microchip, we will not be posting them on our website until this is done. If you want to view the kittens coming up for adoption we have plenty of photos of them on our Facebook page, just click on the Facebook icon and it will take you direct to our FB page.

8th October 2012

At PCR we have been receiving pregnant cats and kittens.  One kitten about 6 months old was found to be pregnant when taken to the vet to be desexed.  She had 6 babies inside her and being only a baby herself, would have struggled to grow and give birth to 6 babies.  In her best interests we decided to abort the babies to give her the best chance of recovery.  This is a timely reminder that people...
need to desex their pets and at 6 months is often too late to have this done.  Cats have the potential of having up to 4 litters a year and as an example of 6 babies a time, that amounts to 24 unwanted babies just from one mother cat.  Please help us to put a stop to this and if anyone wants a kitten to love and cherish for the rest of it's life, then direct them to us.  All our kittens and cats are desexed, microchipped and vaccinated before going to their new home.  Our little baby is being nursed back to health in the foster home and has her new owners visiting her to help give her reassurance that she is being loved and cared for.

26 August 2012

We have kittens from about 6 months old and cats up to 3 years old who are looking for their "forever" homes.  Please have a look at our adoptions page and if you would like to meet one, please give their foster carer a call.
As it is not yet "kitten season" we have no young kittens available and as we rescue from Pounds and Shelters, we do not know one week to the next what kittens we will get.
If you are wanting a young kitten to become a family member, you can call Joy on 0438 339 883 or Julia on 0411 301 623 with a description of the type of kitten you want and we will put your name on a waiting list.
