Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What are the fees for adopting a cat or kitten from Peninsula Cat Rescue?

A. Our kitten adoption fees are $350 per kitten or $650 for a pair of bonded kittens.  The adoption fee for older cats is $250.

Q. What is included in the adoption fee?

A. Our kittens and cats are wormed, flea treated, desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.  On adoption of your new family member we will advise you about their ongoing care, dietary requirements and any other veterinary needs.

Q. Do you make any money on your adoption fees for cats and kittens?

A. As a rescue organisation we are run by volunteers and the proceeds of the adoption of our cats and kittens goes towards covering the cost of veterinary care, food, litter and the costs of running the rescue.

Q. How do I adopt a cat or kitten through Peninsula Cat Rescue?

A. Follow us on our socials to see our available cats and kittens.  In the social media post there will be a link to an application form for you to complete and one of our foster carers will contact you if your application is successful.  The foster carer will organise a time for you to meet the cat or kitten which will give you an opportunity to decide if they are the right fit for your family.  If you have a general enquiry, please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
